Offices and Coffee Bars

Workplace fit outs are where stone meets millwork most often. This one covers a reception desk, a set of coffee bars, clad structural columns and long communal tables through an open plan floor, all of it detailed to sit alongside exposed concrete and reclaimed timber rather than fight it.

Clad columns are the quiet difficulty. A square column has four faces and four arrises, and the eye goes straight to any corner where the pattern does not carry round. They are mitred so the material appears to run continuously through the corner.
