Jenks is a short run west from the shop and a market that knows what it wants. The newer riverside development has brought in houses where the kitchen is genuinely the centre of the floor plan, open to everything, and that changes the conversation completely. When the island is visible from the front door it stops being a work surface and starts being the thing the room is about.

That is where owning the stone shop earns its money. A waterfall end that carries the veining down to the floor, a mitred edge that makes the slab read thick, a book matched pair across an island and the wall behind it. Those are decisions made at the slab rack and on the saw, not on a sample board, and they are the first thing a subcontracted fabricator will talk you out of. Jenks also brings a steady run of additions, because the lots are generous enough to allow them.
